"Amerika" is a song performed by German band Rammstein, released as the second single from their album Reise, Reise. It deals with the worldwide dominance of the culture of the United States of America. It is sung largely in German with a chorus partly in English: We're all living in Amerika, Amerika ist wunderbar, We're all living in Amerika, Amerika. It has received mixed reviews: some perceive it as anti-American, others as being opposed to globalization. The band views it as a satirical commentary on Cocacolonization. It features mentions of Coca-Cola, Wonderbra, and Mickey Mouse.

The end of the song is construed by some to be criticizing American policies of "forcing" democracy on other countries

HISTORY

The Beginning of this band was in a town of Berlin called Lepzig were they started to compose their songs at the beginning of the 90's. Their first album was Herzeleid wich was recorded by motor records in the 94.

In 1998 they recorded the album that made them sell more than 12 million copies and brought rammstein to all america. the album was called sehnsucht in wich they included one of their best songs du hast.

The band gender was considered to be industrial metal, in 1999 they recorded a CD and DVD of their concert "live aus Berlin". In the 4 of march, 2001 they recorded their CD Mutter in wich they included their song Links 2 3 4 wich sold 18 million copies and occupied the first place in all german records list.

In january of the 2004 they published reise-reise and a year later rosenrot, until then they are planing new tours by america and a new single called kein engel that will be realeased this year.
